Unilever.

A recent innovation workshop hosted in London by Publicis Sapient brought together 8 international teams, along with 5 consultants and 2 strategy directors, to delve into the future of consumer engagement. My role within this workshop was as a visual thinker/scribe, dedicated to working onsite with the team for four full days.

The Future of Consumer Engagement

The Future of Consumer Engagement

The workshop’s primary objective was to drive collaboration between the Unilever Club and the Unilever Innovation Department, shaping strategic directions for future consumer engagement in an evolving society. The program involved in-depth preparation, including the creation of key visualizations and future trend frameworks. Throughout the two-day session, I led the live visual synthesis of all workshop exercises, including Rapid Ideation and Future Magazine Covers. Working in real time, I translated complex discussions into clear visual narratives within 2–3 minutes per team, producing napkin sketches that later served as the foundation for refined digital visualizations.

With 8 international teams, multiple consultants, and senior strategy directors in the room, the challenge was speed and alignment. Ideas were emerging rapidly across parallel exercises, risking fragmentation, loss of insight, and uneven clarity between teams. Complex concepts needed to be captured, synthesized, and communicated in real time—without slowing the creative momentum.

Result

Reaching clarity and aligning our solution landscape.

After two intensive days of exercises, ideation, and brainstorming, all ideas came together in one powerful consolidation: Strategic Unilever. The key visual is now hanging in the Unilever head office in London. It is not necessary to make a plan straight away, but it became a great starting point for the further steps.
